Cat\u00f3lico praticante, ele pegou a imagem, cuidou e colocou em um pequeno altar em sua casa junto com outras imagens de sua devo\u00e7\u00e3o. Relatos afirmam que misteriosamente a Virgem voltou ao local que havia sido encontrada. O que aconteceu algumas vezes. Pl\u00e1cido entendeu que a santinha deveria ficar no local onde fora encontrada, e assim, decidiu construir uma ermida para acolh\u00ea-la. A hist\u00f3ria se espalhou pela cidade e o povo passou a visitar o local para reverenciar Nossa Senhora, <\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">onde hoje <\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\">se encontra a majestosa Bas\u00edlica Santu\u00e1rio.<\/span><\/span><\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Desde 1793, que \u00e9 celebrado anualmente, no segundo domingo do m\u00eas de outubro, a prociss\u00e3o do C\u00edrio de Nazar\u00e9 que, at\u00e9 hoje, reproduz simbolicamente o \u201cmilagre do retorno\u201d, quando sai da Catedral de Bel\u00e9m, ap\u00f3s a tradicional missa das 5h30, e segue at\u00e9 o Santu\u00e1rio de Nazar\u00e9.
